Deep ruby hue with garnet rim. Lovely example of red Bordeaux at that exciting stage of evolution when it retains some of the primary fruit flavours of a younger wine but is beginning to offer the more complex, tertiary aromas of an older one. This balances stewed red fruits with tobacco leaf and cedar, resulting in a wine of surprising complexity and authenticity at the price. 2027-2028 – RB
