Medium ruby hue. The nose offers cooked black fruit and baking spice that reflects the warmth of the 2022 vintage. The palate is a heady mix of griottes, cooked plum, cherry Bakewell, cinnamon and clove, bound by soft tannins, as Bordeaux goes. This may not be blue riband claret, but it has immediate charm. 2027-2028–MP
