Pale lemon hue. Elegant nose showcasing green apple, greengage, gooseberry, Amalfi lemon, lime juice, wet wool and almond blossom. There is a place for decent white Bordeaux on every table: it seldom steals the show, always supports the food and inevitably over-delivers in terms of value. This is a fabulous example of the genre, with a textured, waxy and richly fruited mid-palate, and lingering finish. Deliciously unmissable at this price. 2027-2029 – MP
