Intense coffee, spice and dark fruit aromas give lots of immediate appeal. On the palate, it is supple and medium-bodied, revealing flavours of cassis and chocolate, complemented by a juicy fruit acidity. It has a powdery texture with fine tannins. The wines of Château Méric were noted for their quality as far back as 1868 in Cocks & Féret’s almanac of Bordeaux estates.
