Deep ruby, saturated to the rim. Generous, scented nose, with ripe black fruit including plum and cherry. Blackberry, black pepper, mace, fruitcake, and licorice come together on the palate with griottes, cherry cobbler, black olive, and crushed blueberry. The tannins are supple and ripe, adding a pleasantly drying texture, and the moderate acidity from this warm vintage adds guardrails. Hugely competent, with great balance and an undeniable sense of place. 2026-2028 – MP
