Opaque purple hue. Ripening those Montepulciano tannins can be tricky, so I can't quite believe what a great job they have done with this! It is full of juicy plums sprinkled with sage and green peppercorn. The tannins are firm but fine, and the body has more than enough velvety texture to accommodate them. Warming, and with enough acidity to make things interesting. 2027-2028 – JA.
