Montepulciano d’Abruzzo is a broad-ranging appellation that can offer everything from great-value pizza wines to premium, cellaring reds. This cuvée is firmly in the first camp but offers a lot of enjoyment. It is very straightforward with an abundance of dark fruit and a pleasantly fleshy frame. Brisk acidity and subtly chalky tannins bookend the palate, bringing a nice balance overall. 2025-2028–JB
