Another lovely old-vine cuvée from Domaine des Remizières, but this time with truly venerable 70-year-old plantings. Crozes-Hermitage can often be dismissed as a slightly “lesser” northern Rhône cru with widely variable quality, but this is a stellar example. Engaging notes of both tart and ripe fruit mingle with peppery spice and meaty undertones on the nose and palate. This is a full-bodied, firm wine with lots of freshness. 2024-2034–JB
