This wine is all Syrah, from Domaine du Murinais' 55-year-old vines. It is a black, deep purple opaque color here. The medium-intensity aromas are those of mulberry preserve, black olive and bacon, and cream/toffee. With a shy-of-medium acidity, it is dry with a medium-plus frame: extract, squeaky powdery ripe tannins and body, showing lovely length and fruit intensity of black plum, cream/toffee, bacon/black olive and tar, closing with a medium-plus warm finish. Overall styling is leaning into a very ripe spectrum. 2026-2032–IR
