A dreamy mellow wine with black cherries and vanilla cream, ripe blackberries, blueberries and cola aromas. Fine in texture with fresh fruit and cream flavours enhanced by a nice juicy acidity, it’s smooth with a long bitter chocolate and black cherry finish. Coming from a single vineyard, the grapes were grown in the warmer Chalk Hill subregion in the northeast of the Russian River Valley on the family’s Los Amigos Ranch. Just 224 cases were produced. Matured for 20 months in American and European oak with 30% new, the oak is seamlessly integrated with the fruit rather than overt.
