Deep ruby hue. Tertiary notes of forest floor, cooked plum, tobacco and dark chocolate. Although Meritage blends from Austria are not my thing, this is well made and, crucially, fully ripe. The palate shows welcome complexity, with vanilla, cedar and coconut alongside cooked plum, black cherry, damp earth and coffee grinds. 2026-2028 – MP
