Medium purple hue. A big-money nose of blackcurrant, black cherry, black pepper, eucalyptus, dried oregano, crushed blackberry and coal tar greet the lucky owner of this accomplished red. Very much in the Krajewski style, this has layers of sweet, ripe fruit and the silkiest tannins, combining to create a synthesis of fruit and structure. The firm tannins shadow the fruit, providing a wonderful backstop to black cherry, plum, licorice, All Sorts and coffee grounds. 2030-2038 – MP
