La Perle Rare Jones Syrah, Vin de France, 2020

Aged for 24 months in just two new small barriques. A deep purple, opaque in appearance. The nose shows medium-plus intensity, lifted, floral and heady aromas of prune spread, black olive tapenade, pecan essence and toffee. Dry with a medium acidity, the palate tests the scales, but everything is in balance: a high extract, high fine-textured furry tannins, a medium-plus warm balanced alcohol and a full body with a nice length and well-enunciated flavours of cream, prune spread, hickory, black olive, pecan essence and toffee, and closing with a medium-plus to long finish. 2025-2026–IR
