Deep purple hue. Little known until recently, the wines of Bierzo have gained rapidly in prominence. The reds are made from the unusual Mencía grape that naturally produces vibrant fruit and freshness. This is a delightful example, with bramble and blackberry aromas, leading to crunchy fruit and light tannins on the palate. Could easily be enjoyed lightly chilled. 2027-2028 – RB
