Syrah

Producer

Tanguy Chevalier

The only all-Syrah AOC in Northern Rhone, from 15- to 70-year-old vines, it spent 14 months in barrels with some new. It has a black, deep-purple opaque hue and medium intensity, sugared plum, Poire Williams, chocolate brownie and prune spread aromas. The palate is dry with a shy-of medium acidity, a medium-plus extract, medium-plus medium-textured squeaky tannins and a medium-plus body. It all is followed by nice length and fruit persistence showcasing Poire Williams, plum preserve, chocolate brownie and medium-plus warm finish. 2025-2030–IR
