It is fascinating to taste Malvirà’s grappas side by side. Each has a distinct flavour profile and personality reflecting the grapes from which they were made. The Malvirà Grappa di Birbet was made from Brachetto Lungo del Roero grapes. The nose reveals a burst of mango, apricot and pineapple fruit aromas. Although completely dry on the palate, the flavours are reminiscent of sugared peaches, mango and pineapple which taper off into a mineral-laden finish.
Malvira Grappa di Nebbiolo
The Malvirà Grappa di Nebbiolo is laser focused with pronounced steely, mineral-driven aromas. The palate is equally dramatic, layered with racy minerality and white pepper notes that haunt a long, intriguing finish. A delightful accompaniment for a special meal.
Malvira Grappa di Arneis
Made from the pomace of Malvirà’s Arneis Roero, this delightful grappa sings with aromas of licorice, rose, melon and peach. Flavours of peach, melon and apricot follow on the palate through to the finish. The Malvirà grappas are of such high quality they should be enjoyed at room temperature to experience all their refined flavour.
