From one of the very best sites in Mosel with a high proportion of old, ungrafted vines. Still a very youthful pale-yellow color in the glass. The nose offers medium-intensity aromas of slate and slate dust, rose, tangerine and bottle-age notes of lanolin or wax. Dry, it is very long and with an impressive fruit persistence of wax, lemon oil, lifted, floral, rose and mimosa notes with minerally, stony components wrapped around a medium-plus-sized, nicely proportioned structure: acidity, extract and body with a soft-plus texture all tapering into a medium-plus finish. 2024-2032–IR
