Lot

Grape Variety

Syrah

Producer

Bodegas Concavins (Clos Montblanc)

While Syrah gets the top billing, it is actually 77% Samsó (a.k.a Carignan). Aged for 12-16 months in oak, some new. Deep ruby, opaque in the glass. It leads with medium-intensity elements of candied sugared plum, char, vanilla/custard, and lardy/olive richness on the nose. Shy-of-medium acidity, the palate is dry with a medium-plus extract, medium finetextured tannins and a medium-plus body, nice length and fruit with prune, char, black olive and creamy/coating presence and a medium-plus warm finish. 2024-2026–IR
