2018 Pura Fe Carmenère was the exception to the rule (I found the 2018 wines to be of great quality but requiring a little time to reach their optimum for drinking)– it is already deliciously approachable with expressive ripe fruits, cooked cherries, floral and almond notes, menthol and cumin all present. It has a silky texture with blackcurrant flavours leading to a nice grippy finish and great balance.
