Intense grapey aromas combine with leaves, fresh vegetation, and fennel. On the palate, redcurrant, sour cherry, and cranberry flavours show through. The black Hondarrabi Beltza grape bears no relation to the local white – both are named after the local town of Hondarribia; Beltza means black in Basque and Zirri white. Grapes were harvested by hand and left to macerate for six hours, followed by a cool fermentation.
