This wine won a gold medal at the Concours Géneral Agricole de Paris this year and I am not surprised. It has intense aromas of blueberries, violets and other dark fruits. It is supple and smooth, medium bodied with a bit of firmness adding length. Vineyards are currently in conversion to organic farming.
Domaine de Mermes Colline d'Esprit IGP Ardeche
Less expressive than the Merlot, the Colline d’Esprit is a more mineral wine – aromas of wet earth are complemented by black cherries. It is supple with a fine texture and firm finish and is a blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Grenache.
Domaine de Mermes Jean Esprit IGP Ardeche
Vibrant in colour, this blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon has intense fresh blackcurrants and black cherry flavours. It is fine in texture, very smooth and medium bodied with a long finish.
