Mencía is a red grape variety native to northwestern Spain. It produces red-fruited, floral wines with lovely freshness and pleasantly savoury undertones. This 2022 vintage is a great example: medium in body with loads of juicy red and dark fruit flavours. The finish is framed by fine-grained tannins and lingering minty freshness. 2024-2027–JB
