Medium ruby hue. Intense, gamey, fecund and slightly wild, with notes of dried herbs, raspberry jam, leather and baking spice. This is an old school Southern French red that wears its heart on its sleeve. There are sinewy tannins, plenty of alcohol and layers of jammy black fruit that drive the finish. Plum, cherry and berry are all here, sewn together with a lick of acidity. 2027-2029 – MP
