Pronounced, ripe, plummy black fruit with notes of damson, Victoria plum, black pepper and liquorice. The Cab starts kicking in on the palate, with ripe yet firm tannins, blackcurrant, blackberry and even a note of cinnamon. The balance between the fruit and tannin is superb, and the finish rolls on just like a Petit Château Claret. Lots to like here, including the price. 2027-2029 – MP
